What a fucking mess!

I often feel that way. I don't know when I last had an organized wardrobe. Don’t even mention my studio..

But it's also a fucking mess in the world. And you know what? I'm pretty sure there is a reason. If we wouldn’t see this mess, this obvious mess that now appear, how would we see the problems? And if we don’t understand the problems, how could we solve anything? I see it as a movie unfolding.

 

In recent years, at least since 2020, I have spent an incredible amount of time trying to understand why things are the way they are. For as long as I can remember, I have felt that something is not right. It could have been about individual big events or just life in general, how we constantly have to chase more, more, more, more and at the same time seem to get less of the valuable things.

In 2020, I began to dig much deeper to try to understand, I left my emotional values ​​aside.

 

Relatively quickly I came up with things that gave a given explanation for why things look the way they do. War, disease, debt, etc., etc.

I could have written a novel about this, but I won't bore anyone, not for now. The idea with many of my paintings is to leave the viewer with a thought and then search further themselves. You can always get help along the way, but in the end it is the individual who must develop in order for society to develop, therefore the work lies with oneself.

 

I am convinced that the future is brighter than we could imagine. We just have to understand what has been, see reality for what it is and thus the fundamental problems. It is difficult to solve a problem without understanding the problem.

 

"What a fucking mess" is a mix of artwork from 2019-2023 that documents my messy life and a time that will surely go down in the history books. Take it to the bank 😉
